Welcome to the Sanctuary

Welcome to the Earthseed Sanctuary. I’m really glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way to Earthseed, chances are you’re curious – not just about what I’m doing next, but about how we make sense of this moment we’re living in. You may be feeling the pace of the world speeding up while something in you is asking to slow down. You may sense that old ways of leading, believing, fixing, or even resisting are no longer sufficient, but you’re not quite sure what comes next.

That’s the territory I’m living in right now, too.

I’m on the edge of turning fifty next week, and I say that not as a milestone to celebrate or resist, but as a place of clarity. I’ve lived many lives inside this one –  across institutions, disciplines, vocations, and communities. I’ve spent decades studying systems, leadership, justice, psychology, culture, and change. And what I know now, with a steadiness I didn’t have before, is this: when we focus only on changing the world “out there” without attending to the consciousness shaping our perceptions, we end up moving in circles.

Earthseed is a space where I get to name that honestly…and explore what becomes possible when we don’t.

This missive is not a brand announcement or a manifesto. It’s a re-entry for me. A return to conversation in a way that feels true to my life now. Earthseed is a sanctuary for inquiry – a hearth, and a school that doesn’t call itself one. A place where mysticism and intellect are not in competition. Where science, spirituality, culture, and systems thinking can sit at the same table. Where we don’t fragment ourselves to belong.

I understand these missives as a form of responsibility. Responsibility to truth and to love. To awakening, justice, and care. To the elders and ancestors whose lives made ours possible, and to future generations who deserve more consciousness, not less. I don’t hold that lightly, and I don’t hold it perfectly. I’m still learning. I’m still being shaped.

I’m an ordained interfaith, interspiritual minister, and I’m also still in formation –  deepening my study of spiritual principles, universal laws, and the inner technologies that shape how we see, choose, and lead. I think of myself as a minister-at-large. Not at a pulpit, but wherever I stand on any given day. Wherever truth is invited to move through a human life with integrity.

In these missives, I’ll be writing from the intersections that actually make me who I am: mystic and scholar, teacher and student, systems thinker and minister. I’ll draw from psychology and spirituality, astrology and leadership science, interspiritual wisdom, culture, art, justice, and the unconscious forces shaping our lives and institutions. Some weeks will feel contemplative. Others will have more teeth. All of them will be written from a commitment to integration.

If you return here, it won’t be because I’m trying to persuade you of anything. I hope you’ll come back because this is a place where you can slow down. Where thinking is allowed to deepen. Where awakening is gentle but unmistakable. Where courage grows quietly. Where you don’t have to edit yourself to stay in the room.

I don’t know exactly what Earthseed will become over the next few years – and I’m not afraid of that. I trust the play, the stretch, the uncertainty. What I do know is that I won’t self-abandon anymore. I won’t make myself smaller to fit a container that can’t hold my wholeness.

Earthseed is where I live at the intersections as a multidimensional being. It’s where I get to be brilliant and silly, angry and joyful, reverent and curious. It’s where sacred leadership, for me, means standing in truth before the ending is clear…and inviting others to explore alongside me.

If that resonates, you’re welcome here.
Let’s see what grows.

With care,
Jackie
